Well, yesterday I thought I was starting a blog.

It’s funny what can change in a day.

Now you’re reading this as the non-technical ‘white paper’ for Bitclout Magazine — the first magazine for Bitclout.

Here’s how I see this publication moving forward, with the knowledge that it will adapt to the needs and feedback of the community.

This will be the place for Bitclouters to publish longer-form stories of their journeys onto Bitclout. Whether they are creatives, VCs, crypto-lovers, or anything else under the sun — everyone has a story about why they initially came to Bitclout and how they see their role as creators shifting as the community changes.

Unlike traditional publications, I want to avoid putting my spin on the stories of others where possible. I want to be using first-person accounts from ‘the horse’s mouth’ if you will.

Where that isn’t possible, I have a rotating list of questions which I will publish verbatim, Q & A style. I hope this will allow me to attract contributors who either believe themselves to not be writers (everyone is a writer, and writers who think they are writers are often the worst, so I never take that self-judgment at face-value), or don’t have the time to write a full piece themselves.

I see Bitclout Magazine as the local paper of Bitclout. We only have so many characters to share our thoughts on the platform, and this is a place to supplement our ideas with deeper dives.

If you are interested in contributing email me at somethingelsebitclout@gmail.com.

I can add you as a writer on Medium, or if you’d prefer I can publish myself while linking and crediting you as the author of a guest post.

Let’s make this a thriving community for storytellers to get their work into the world and share with their fellow bitclouters, an audience which at the moment is a rare breed of early-adopters, artists, techies, and curious people.
